Privacy policy
Privacy policy
Effective May 7, 2026. Subject to revision before general availability.
This is the privacy policy for the Jubal Law marketing site at jubal.lawand the Jubal desktop app. Jubal Law is a product of Jubal, Inc. (“Jubal”, “we”, “us”).
The three promises about your client work
The most important parts of this policy are short:
- We never train on your client work.Your matter files, your queries, the documents Jubal generates for you — none of it is used to improve any model. Not Jubal's. Not any of our model providers'. Not anyone's.
- We never share your client work. Not with our partner firm, not with researchers, not with other firms, not with anyone. The single exception is a properly served legal process targeting your firm — at which point we would notify you immediately to the extent the law allows.
- Your matters stay yours. Each attorney runs Jubal against a private index on their own machine. For multi-attorney matters that span offices, Jubal supports secure firm-scoped sync — content is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is scoped to seats your firm authorizes. Jubal's servers see your prompts and the small slices of text needed to answer them — never your full document corpus — and Jubal has no use for your matters beyond answering the prompt you sent.
See jubal.law/security for the architectural details that make these promises structurally, rather than merely contractually, enforceable.
What we collect from this website
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Email address — required, used to confirm your signup and to email you when the founding cohort opens.
- Hashed IP address — used for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. We never store the raw IP.
- User agent string — used to debug compatibility issues and to spot scraping abuse.
If you choose to answer the optional six-question qualifier, we also collect: your firm name, your role, your firm size, your practice areas, what AI tools your firm uses today (as you describe them), and a free-text answer to the question of what you would most want an AI partner to take off your plate.
We do not collect: phone numbers, addresses, bar numbers, or revenue / billings figures. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or similar. The only analytics this site uses is Plausible, which is cookie-less and stores no personal data.
What we do with what we collect
- Send you a confirmation email. One-time, on signup. Routed through Resend, our transactional email vendor.
- Email you when the founding cohort opens. One email, with cohort details. We do not run a newsletter and do not run drip campaigns.
- Stack-rank the founding cohort. The qualifier answers help us decide which firms to invite first based on fit with our v1 product, not on prestige or revenue.
- Aggregate insight on the market. We may use the qualifier answers in aggregated, non-identifying form (e.g. “X% of firms on the waitlist do litigation”) to inform product and marketing decisions. We do not share identifying information with anyone outside Jubal for this purpose.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties.
- We do not share your information with our partner firm or any other law firm.
- We do not use your information to train any AI model. Not ours, not our model providers', not anyone's.
Subprocessors
We use a small set of vendors to operate the marketing site. They process limited data on our behalf, under contractual obligations consistent with this policy:
- Vercel — site hosting and edge networking.
- Convex — backend database for the waitlist records.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (confirmation messages).
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot detection on the waitlist forms.
- Plausible — privacy-respecting analytics. No cookies, no PII.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete the waitlist record we hold for your email at any time by writing to privacy@jubal.law. We will confirm deletion within 30 days. You can also ask for a copy of the record, in which case we will send it to the email address on file.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we will email everyone on the waitlist with a summary of the changes. The current version and effective date is at the top of the page.
