Teach Jubal how you work
Jubal drafts like a new associate: well, but in its own way until you tell it yours. These three steps give it your signature, your firm's house rules, and the habit of learning from your edits.
Run your personal setup interview
Open Settings › Profile and run the personal setup. Jubal interviews you for about ten minutes: structured questions, answers saved as you go. It fills your contact card (signature name, title, phone, mailing address) and your working profile.
This is what makes letters come out signature-ready and drafts sound like you. Run it again anytime from the same place.
Every attorney should run their own. It's personal: your answers shape your drafts, not your colleagues'.
Write the firm playbook
Admins open Settings › Firm and run the firm interview, or open Firm › Settings › Playbook and choose Write playbook. The playbook is your firm's standing instructions in plain English: house writing style, standard positions, when to escalate to a partner.
Jubal follows it in every matter, for every teammate.
“Always propose mediation before filing. Letters go out under the supervising partner's name.”
Let Jubal learn from your edits
When you edit a draft, in Jubal or in Word, the edit becomes a new numbered version of the same document, and Jubal studies the changes. What it learns lands in the matter's visible memory and improves the next draft.
When the firm's real decisions drift from the written playbook, Jubal proposes an amendment. A lawyer approves every change.
You are done when…
Your contact card is filled in and your letters are signature-ready.
The firm playbook says how your firm practices.
You know Jubal learns from your edits, and that a lawyer approves every playbook change.
